Street Improvements to Oceana Blvd step in the right direction

My main concern, in my community, where I live, shop, walk, drive, bike, is the street safety where I travel daily.

At night (photos coming soon.) it's too dark. There are to few street lights.

I take the CX or DX shuttle to Colma BART for work, but after the sun goes down the bus stop where I get off has no street light at all. It's pitch black.

Walking up Moana Way where you run out of sidewalks in several places, and too few street lights, it's very unsafe.

Plus, Oceana Blvd is in desperate need of markings for a bike lane, pedestrian crossing markings at each street intersection along Oceana.

Adding street lights, putting in real sidewalks along Oceana Blvd, improved sidewalks on Moana Way, and marking the street with reflective paint to outline bike paths and pedestrian walkways at the corners would be a huge improvement to the safety of the streets of Pacifica.

That's my vision for Pacifica, and I hope it will be included into the General Plan Update currently being drafted for the future of this beautiful coastal community. vlb
