[Location: Oceana High School track] After the seasonal rains, the strong pounding winds, the hot baking sun, this popular track, used by local pacificans, in addition to the students at Oceana High School, has become a weathered mess, and is in need of restoration.
The surface has become hard and uneven, creating a surface prime for twisted ankles. Students and locals run, jog, and walk on this track throughout the day, everyday. In various sections of the track, grass is growing-in creating a narrow passageway. The grass, along with the indented surface area, is creating an unsafe area for sports and recreation.
The time to resurface and restore this track is overdue. The time to help is now. vlb
