Lunch time in Pacifica at Nona's Kitchen

The soup, you have to try the soup. The word is that the chef at Nona's Kitchen in Pacifica is famous for the soup, and wow, now I know. I had the best bowl of soup, rich and full of flavor, pureed, and the freshest ingredients. There were several soups to choose from, I had the tomato soup, with a dollop of pesto in the center, great presentation, great taste. I have just returned from an NCL cruise in Alaska, and I have to tell you, this soup rivals the best soup I had, in best restaurants, by some of the most talented chefs, on the cruise ship. (The soup was too good to take time for a picture.)

In addition to the soup, I had a salad, and a bun-less burger with bacon and cheddar cheese. The burgers are to live for! Great flavor! The burgers are made from good quality steaks! Yum! But, here's the rest of the story, if you want a medium rare burger, ask for medium. I asked for medium rare, and I got a burger that was raw in the middle. I was so hungry, I didn't send it back to the kitchen to be cooked some more, instead I just ate it, like there was no tomorrow. It tasted wonderful. I didn't get sick, but in the future, when I dine at Nona's Kitchen, I will ask that my burger is cooked medium.
